PROJECTS

Risonanze Temporali (2023)

A project still in the making that involves the sonorization of abstract and non-narrative silent films in an electroacoustic key. The goal is to resonate visual art fragments from a century ago, providing them with a new voice so that they can continue to engage in dialogue with new generations. In Mechanical Principles shown below the themes explored are the relationship between man and machine, perpetual motion and multiplicity of periods.

Site-Specific Music (2018)

The project starts with the intent to represent a physical space in music. The aim is to create a piece strictly connected with the selected locus, involving the use of recorded sound on site, and research of the history and function of the space.

  •    Finsbury Park Symphony

The first composition is based on Finsbury Park in  London (51.5633° N, 0.1074° W). The process started in November 2017 with the recording of sounds, study of the area and the research of its history. However, the actual composition was only undertaken in January. The piece has been divided into sections using the different historical periods and matching audio recordings with events happening. In addition, the measures of the park’s five side are present in the piece as dynamics points.

The track has been released May the 28th on Soundcloud.

The project was formed in November 2017 with the idea to develop music based on a range of influences, from the minimalism of Steve Reich to the experimental sounds of Neu!, with the melodies of God is an Astronaut and the oddity of Radiohead. The band is an instrumental trio based in London, formed by Alex Oliver Walker, Daniel Proctor, and Federico Pezzatini. Listen to the single recorded at Puzzle Factory Studios, produced by Dax Liniere.

Ultra Modum Humanum

In the summer of 2018, Federico and the former principal of the artistic high-school G. Alberti in Florence, established artist and architect Paolo Lauri collaborated in a video-based performance that will be exhibited on the 26th of October.
